This discussion is on the “Nephilim.” The Nephilim are mentioned in Genesis 6: 1-4 “When human beings began to increase in number on the earth and daughters were born to them, 2 the sons of God saw that the daughters of humans were beautiful, and they married any of them they chose. 3 Then the Lord said, “My Spirit will not contend with[a] humans forever, for they are mortal[b]; their days will be a hundred and twenty years.” 4 The Nephilim were on the earth in those days—and also afterward—when the sons of God went to the daughters of humans and had children by them. They were the heroes of old, men of renown.” This helps bring the Flood. Most people were taught the Nephilim were the children of the righteous seed of Seth mentioned in Genesis 5. They were taught the “daughters of men” were the daughters of Cain. Calvin taught these doctrines, as do many denominations. Nephilim was translated “Giants” in the King James Bible. The “sons of God” were Seth’s seed mating with Cain’s daughters producing Giants of evil and iniquity. This became standard doctrine. The Seth theory simply does not make hermeneutic or exegetical sense; it does not tie in the “Giants” of Genesis 6:4 with the giants of Numbers 13:33 and else where in Scripture. I no longer believe this teaching and neither did the ancient Jews or the early church. The Book of Enoch and Jubilees deals with this subject. These books were written well before the time of Christ. Enoch 1:9 was quoted in the canonized book of Jude. The great historian Josephus wrote the Nephilim were off springs of angels mating with daughters of men. Who were the “sons of God?” Were angels mating with women creating a genetically impure off spring? Who were “the Giants?” Please read all of Deuteronomy 2 and Numbers 13. When the spies came back from the land they reported on seeing giants. The only other place Nephilim is ever used in Scripture besides Genesis 6:4 is Numbers 13:33 “We saw the Nephilim there (the descendants of Anak come from the Nephilim). We seemed like grasshoppers in our own eyes, and we looked the same to them.” In the New Living Translation Bible King Og’s bed was over thirteen feet long – Deuteronomy 3: 11 “(King Og of Bashan was the last survivor of the giant Rephaites. His bed was made of iron and was more than thirteen feet long and six feet wide.[b] It can still be seen in the Ammonite city of Rabbah.) This is no big basket player kind of man from a normal gene pool! How did these genetically deformed giants get there? This was over 800 years after the flood. Remember Goliath and his family having six toes on each foot and six fingers on each hand? Remember his stature? How did he get there? This discussion is on the giants. Did some angels fall and mate with women creating a genetic disease? Did the flood wipe them out, yet these defective genes were still there when Israel came out of Egypt to take the Promised Land? We see genetically modified produce now all the time known as GMO’s. We see the mixing of DNA from different species now all the time. Is this, “as it was in the days of Noah?” There are audio teachings on the site here on this subject. Please feel free to send articles, opinions, comments and information. Table of the Lord:
Nephilim 1
Nephilim 2
Nephilim 3 (The Good Seed)
Nephilim 4 (Defeated)

In this tradition, the children of the nephilim are called the Elioud , who are considered a separate race from the nephilim, but they share the fate as the nephilim.
At the Table of the Lord we have been given an interpretation of scripture that is close to our hearts, and as we delve deeper we find these views to be very controversial in these times.
Our views here lean closer to the folks that vote on the left, but have a drastically different view of those on the left when it comes to the Bible. It leaves us feeling lost in dealings with others right now; right here; at this time.
To go with the crowd of believers of solo scriptoria we would be aligned closer to the Right-wing Christians view of scripture, we love and believe these Christians do good works and truly have the love of Christ in their hearts, meaning they are not lost…but…we believe they are misguided by a church doctrine that has them befuddled in Calvinistic false doctrine. Manmade qualities of life, where if you “have,” it is because you are special….this belief system has made it easier to swallow this Calvinistic doctrine and seems very much right in eyes of those who are believers in Jesus Christ. Just as the Hebraic collective were in the times of Moses and later Joshua, if the collective conscience is put together with, “I want what I want…. when I want it,” we stray from the Word of Jesus.
It is our belief that in these times we are not striving for His will. Grace does not mean we are not held accountable for the poor, that the mighty are being idolized and looked up to.
What do you want to do as a Christian that will please the Lord our Savior Jesus Christ? How do you adjust your thinking to what He wants us to do? How does this work move toward Jesus and follow your inner personal conscience on social issues? Prayer is the all-encompassing answer with a desire to change. Hint to those that are reading….we are finding this just as difficult to abide by, even with the “light,” we have been given… but we believe it is the right thing to do… to follow Jesus in his views of equality and the poor (ptochos), and to trust what is written and move toward a stronger, Spirit minded, (without needing cognitive thought) obedience. We strive for the desires of Christ to align with our consciences and believe wholeheartedly it is needed in these times for our salvation.
Scenario:
If money were to suddenly become worth what it truly is (nothing) and we were left together in a world, would love thy neighbor become the standard way… or would might make right?
Table of the Lord wants it to be/act like what the Bible wants; because we believe what scripture says to us, after we put these scriptures to our own personal….then collective litmus tests of our consciences.
These views, we have come to believe, are not in line with all Christians (neither Left nor Right-wingers). If you can except that we are not believers of what is “common religion” at this period in time, and if you want what we are striving for with equality and scripture based living….and are willing to agree to disagree on some things at first(because it is all going to be new to you)and can keep an open mind and look past our fleshly statements from time to time(due to all the years of dealing with tragic things that make our emotions speak before our love takes us somewhere in the love of Christ) then let your consciences be your guide and go for a ride with us.
>>> Joe use the scenario as the topic?<<<
Awesome study that gives me better understanding of the 2 seeds, the land of Canaan, the dual purpose of the flood and clarity of this part of the Old Testament.. Thank you… looking forward to the next study!
I do not believe it to be a coincidence that the bible study have been attending at the HOUSEHOLD of FAITH CHURCH has been focused on the Book of Enoch and the accounts of the fallen angels and the Nephilim in the recent weeks. Enoch ( the scribe) gives very descriptive accounts of his walk with GOD and his accounts with the angels of heaven and the accounts of the fallen angels breeding with the beautiful woman thus creating the Nephilim. Although this as other of the books of the apocropha were not canonized there is a lot of it that correlates with New Testament scripture which gives weight to its truth. I am merely a baby lamb in the flock but yet I seek for the TRUTH in the LIVING WORD and shall be listening to more of your studies for they are of the WORD and that is what I hunger for… Thank you!
Thank you Art. If you’re in our area you are more than welcome to sit in on studies on Monday nights at 7pm at my home. We are happy that you’re gaining something from this Ministry.
I was taken on a biblical journey and learned what it “could have been like,” to be in the times of the Nephilim. The books by Brian Godawa: Caleb Vigilant; Enoch Primordial; Joshua Valiant; Noah Primeval; When Giants Were upon the Earth….and others….has me tying up a whole bunch of loose ends in the Bible. I think these books will bring the Bible alive for both the scholarly to the babe in Christ, like myself. I find myself being brought back to the same book to pour over a question I thought of while thinking about certain things. Keep in mind this is a Fiction written book….I have to tell you this Fiction is based on a TON of factual information. I have a greater understanding of the time and the reason the Bible was written the way it is. Thank you Brian Godawa for all this information!!!
